Changing times: Closed until June

Updated: Jan 29, 2021

Stumptown Manor will not be taking any new reservations until the last weekend in June. If you are already booked, we are looking forward to hosting you :)

Our world has changed a lot in the past week, in ways that we have never seen before or thought possible! But here we are ... Same for you all!?!

Coronavirus was never close to my radar before that I know of! Most disasters bring us together, this one calls for staying in, away from other people.

In the past week, toilet paper was talked about more than food, or water, maybe even survival!

The words "social" and "distancing" used in the same sentence wouldn't have made sense to me until now.

It's still hard to believe how our world has changed from one day to the next in this past week!

So what are we doing in the meantime?

We are making some changes here at the BnB.

Starting in the foyer with lighting and brightening paint and new flooring. Then planning a complete renovation to the kitchen and family room.

The plan for now is we won't be taking any new reservations until the last weekend in June. If you are booked in that space of time and haven't heard from us, it's because we planned for your room to be open for your dates.

We are not excited about being closed, however, we are excited about this time to get it all done! Hope to see your bookings show up in late June and throughout the balance of the year. By that time, we hope our world will be back to a more familiar setting

Happy to notice...

The birds are singing and have no idea we are in shutdown mode.

Flowers are popping and trees are in bloom.

Night falls and morning comes everyday.

I saw a rainbow the other day!

We are seeing green grass.

People get well again.

And high waters recede...

Things happened before that we thought were impossible and we came through stronger! Look for ways to speak life, when voices rise in fear, make sure yours is quieting and comforting.

And take good care of yourself, do we need to say it?

Stay home or 6 feet away from others.

Wash hands often and for at least 20 seconds.

Don't touch your face.

If you have symptoms, call your Dr. for testing and self-quarantine.

And build up your immune system with good food and supplements and Essential Oils.

Get a good night of rest.

Get out for fresh air daily, walk around the block, go for a bike ride.

Check in with family members by phone or texting.
